We started with Lacy and we now have: Lacy, Goldie, AppleRose, Mackintosh, Angel, Tessa and Nanuq (Nan Nook)
I am using my first litter of puppies for my profile pic: Sir Reginal of Beverly, Levi, Joba, Cesaer, Casey, Baby Sophia and of course AppleRose!
I am asked many times: How can you let go of such precious puppies? Well I just answerd this question yesterday...So please do not mind if I copy and paste my answer here for others to view:
When we had our first litter (using a different stud) that was the roughest.... Having to part with the puppies. We had those puppies in our home (just like now) So we held them continuously, we sang to them. In fact one (Joba) sang back to us. so funny we laughed so hard. The memories of our first litter have never left us and we still continue to love each and every puppy. So we talked it into ourselves to keep AppleRose from the 1st litter. That made it so much easier to let go of the rest of them. Today and back then...what makes it easier to let go to this day, is knowing each family that is taking a puppy from us. Through many bonding visits with the puppies and or e-mail /phone conversations I have come to know each family will love their new puppy. So that makes letting go easier then as if someone just showed up at my door hoping to get an 8 week old puppy that I never met or heard from. I have yet to have to contend with such a matter. I do not know that I ever will...I hope not. So when our puppies go into homes like they all have, it is easy to say goodbye. But our family hopes our puppies will send pics/e-mails through their owners. I have also had many of our past puppies back to stay for playdates/sleep overs while their owners traveled on vacation. So that is always fun for our family!
